Monty has been on the road taking on the best Pro Juniors from around the world over the past few months. The kid has been racking up the miles from Queeny to Sydney and from NZ to Tahiti.
Check out this nice little clip that Monty has put together a few months back
As many of you would know Monty has been plagued by a nagging knee injury which saw him have to take a few weeks off but he is getting back into the swing of it. In NZ he had an impressive result with a 5th place finish at the Taranaki Pro Junior. From NZ he and a big crew of aussie juniors headed to Tahiti where they competed in 3 events in 3 weeks.
- 9th in the Rangiroa Pro Junior
- 17th in the Papara Pro Junior
- 33rd in the Papara WQS event
They scores pumping waves in Tahiti. Epic empty beachies and reefs everywhere but no luck in scoring Chopes. It was only 1ft when they were up there but the boys did surf a pass just a bit further down and in Monty words it was 6ft and absolutely pumping. The kid will spend the next few weeks at home but has some major travel plans in the next little while including a few trips and a few QS events in Europe later in the season. Good luck and we will keep you posted of his progress.
