The prestigious series will head to Jan Juc (VIC), Maroubra (NSW), Trigg /Scarborough (WA), Yorke Peninsula (SA) and the Sunshine Coast (QLD), after which Leaders on the National Ratings will then qualify for the Rip Curl GromSearch National Final, to be held at North Narrabeen in Sydney from January 16-18, 2017.
The Australian series allows surfers from around the country to compete against their contemporaries in a fun and engaging environment. Each result in the 5 event series is awarded points which count towards a surfer’s GromSearch National rating, providing participants across the country the opportunity to compare their performance against peers. After the last event in Queensland, the top ranked surfers qualify for the Rip Curl GromSearch National final in each division, contested at the famous North Narrabeen beach.
The Rip Curl GromSearch includes divisions in 16 and under, 14 and under, and 12 and under for both boys and girls.
Entering an Event:
Due to the high volume of competitors entering each event of the Rip Curl GromSearch each respective event entry opening will be staggered to allow individuals the opportunity to enter multiple events in the series.
Please note: To save confusion all Entry Opening Times will run off Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST)
Each event entry opening will be staggered on consecutive days as follows; Mon June 13 at 5pm AEST, Tues June 14 at 5pm AEST, Wed June 15 at 7pm AEST, Thursday June 16 at 5.30pm AEST & Friday June 17 at 5pm AEST;
