Congratulations to Jackon Giles for his 4th place finish at the Hunter Business Boardriders Pro Junior 1-Star event at Merewether beach back in Feb. Jackson Giles dream summer continued reaching his second Pro Junior Final from 3 events this year and along the way he defeated has defeated some of Oz’s and the world’s hottest juniors.

Organizers were hampered by a lack of swell at the preferred Merewether contest site but had to wait until the completion of the Burton Toyota Pro International Trials at The Cliff before the quarter-finals of the Pro Junior commence. By that time the light offshore wind gave way to a strong southerly change accompanied by a drenching downpour. Cooper Chapman of Narrabeen handled the conditions best and took out the final easily ahead of Matt King 2nd, Kanoa Igarashi 3rd and Jackson 4th.

Jackson’s next assignment is the Kirra Teams and then the big one “The Rip Curl GromSearch International Final” which will be held at the famous Lakey Peak in Sumbawa.
