Everyone was buzzing last Saturday morning for a couple of reason. Yes it was comp day and everyone there was frothing as usual (particularly the young groms) but for many of clubs members they were still buzzing after watching the mighty Rabbitohs break the 43 year hoodoo and finally made the GF the night before.
Early on there was some nice clean 2ft foot waves hitting the peak at middle and the guys in the early heats took advantage of it. There were some super fun lefts early on and if you got the right one it allowed you to whack it 3 or 4 times.
