Carve Pro Junior + O&E Teenage Rampage to return to Maroubra in January

The Carve Pro Junior and Ocean and Earth Teenage Rampage will return to Maroubra this upcoming January and will see some of Australia’s most talented surfers battling it out in hope of nabbing the prestigious title. The three-day dual-events will kick off on the eastern Sydney beach from the 16th – 18th January, 2015.

As part of the 2015 Carve Pro Junior, 72 of the best male pro juniors from Australia and the world will fight it out for over $18,000 worth of prize money, giveaways and valuable ASP Junior Qualifying Series (JQS) points. This year will see the addition of a new webcast – proudly presented by Tracks Magazine – which will stream the event worldwide via carveprojunior.com.

In 2013, the Ocean and Earth Teenage Rampage series was fine-tuned and compressed into an elite event that ran at Maroubra during the Christmas school holidays. 2015 will be no different and looks set to see some of Australia’s most promising junior surfers partaking in the event. “The Ocean and Earth Teenage Rampage and The Carve Pro Junior have gone from strength to strength over the last few years,” said Surfing NSW CEO Mark Windon. “Over the summer months Maroubra transforms into a natural amphitheater filled with spectators. We simply pray the waves will come to the party like they have in previous years.”

The three-day event is also looking to announce a local market day, skating demonstrations and live music. The Carve Pro Junior and the Ocean and Earth Teenage Rampage are proudly sponsored by Carve, Ocean and Earth, NRMA, Randwick City Council, Australian Skin Cancer Clinics, Tracks Magazine, Coastalwatch Plus, Souths Juniors, Ohana Ocean Athletics, The Illicit Drugs in Sport Program, ASP Australasia and Surfing NSW.
