Surfers Rescue 24/7 Course

We just wanted to remind everyone about the FREE surfing rescue/CPR course this Saturday.

What: Surfers Rescue 24/7 Course
When: This Saturday April 6 at Maroubra
Time: (9am to 12pm)
Where: Meet at the Surfing NSW Office (in the blue pavilion at middle Maroubra beach)

The course is open to any surfer, non-surfers, parents etc and includes a FREE nationally accredited CPR course and a surfboard rescue demonstration (and workshop if you’re keen to get wet) for rescuing conscious and unconscious patients.

This short and to the point course has been designed by professional surfers and lifeguards and will educate and provide a skill set, that hopefully you will never have to use, but if found in a tough situation, may just save a life. And given that how much time you, your family and friends spend surfing, there is every chance that you may be involved in a rescue like the thousands of rescues that recreational surfers have done, most of which goes unheralded. Even if you don’t surf yourself – this course will teach you the universal CPR techniques
