On Sunday, while most people on the NSW coast were cleaning up after the big low pressure system that moved through and turned trees into match-sticks and RSL roofs into asbestos biscuits, a bunch of young Southend members gathered at Port Kembla beach to compete in the Wahu Grom comp in some rippable and solid waves. And they did not disappoint either!
Congratulations to all of you young guns like Emma McGuigan, Chris Riley and Brooke Emerson who all got out there and had a go, and particularly for the great results such as:
Max McGuigan (1st place Under-15 Boys and 3rd place Under-13 Boys)
Jack Pacey (4th place Under-15 Boys)
Tye Koolis (Quarter Finals Under- 13 Boys)
Lucas Bersot (5th place Under-11 Boys)
Will Emanuele (2nd place Under- 9 Boys)
Looking forward to another big season with you guys! Check out some of the pics from the day at http://www.facebook.com/surfingnsw
