Congratulations to young Grayson Hinrichs for taking out the U/14 Boys Regional Title at Cronulla a few weeks back. In some fun waves Grayson dominated his rivals from the word go and had his rivals combo’d pretty much right through out the Final. An outstanding result for the youngster and no doubt he is stoked on his 1st major victory at this level.

There were many other great results for Southend surfer over the weekend

In the U/18 Boys Liam Rayner, Kel Gollan & Paolo Cignetti made the Semi Final. Unfortunately none of the boys were able to progress but Liam and Kel finishing equal 5th overall and Paolo finished equal 7th overall. With a semi final finish all the boys made it to the State squad. Oscar Elfman who was knocked in the Qtr’s also made it into the state squad. Congrats to all the boys.

Emma McGuigan finished in 2nd overall in the U/18 Girls final behind Paris Whittaker. A great result for all the hard work Emma has been doing over the last year. Well done and good luck at the State Titels Emma.

In the hotly contested U/16 Boys division Max McGuigan and Tye Koolis made the Final and placed 3rd & 4th respectively. Jason O’Rouke made the Semi’s and came 5th overall. We had a stack of young guys who made the Quarters including Zac Michael, Zane Killorn (equal 9th) and Conor Fitzgerald (equal 13th). Well done to Max, Tye, Jason and Zac who made it through to the State titles.

In the U/16 girls Charlotte Wilson surfed well and made the Final. She finished 4th overall. Congrats Charlotte.

Young Koda Killorn blazed through the Semi’s scoring 17.16/20. In the Final he came up against local ripper Jarvis Earle and finished 2nd by the narrowest of margins. Well Done Koda and by finishing 2nd has booked ticket to the State Tiltles.

This year SNSW has moved with the times and changed the format at State Tiltes this year. All divisions will use the 2nd chance format. This change means that there will be a split in locations. For

* U/16 & U18 – Location – Port Macquarie 10-14 July

* U/12 & U14 – Location – Maroubra 24-26 July
