“Australian Surfing Walk of Fame” Nominations for 2025 Now Open!

Have YOUR say in who is nominated into the prestigious Australian Surfing Walk of Fame at Maroubra Beach.

Established in 2006 as Australia’s first of its kind, the Walk of Fame honours the outstanding achievements of our nation’s leading surfers and surf lifesavers. Inductees are immortalised with a bronze plaque laid along the Maroubra Beach promenade during a special ceremony, timed with a major beach or surf event.

The 2025 inductees will be celebrated at Beach Breaks Festival on Sunday, 20 July 2025, 1pm at Maroubra Beach.

Selection Criteria:

  • Open to individuals who have won world-class surfing or surf lifesaving championships and/or made a significant contribution to the sport.
  • A local Maroubra figure will be considered at each event—someone who began their career at Maroubra or has strong ties to a local surf club or association.
  • No set number of inductees.
  • The selection committee upholds high standards and may choose not to induct any unsuitable nominees.

Remember; the selection panel can only vote and induct people that are actually nominated, so you will need to click on below nomination form link and nominate If you want to have in say in who is inducted into the Walk of Fame at you
